Governor Kemp to Host Third Annual Governor’s Workforce Summit at Georgia World Congress Center

ATLANTA, GA – Georgia Governor Brian Kemp will host the third annual Governor’s Workforce Summit at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta on October 20 and 21.  The Summit will bring together educators, business and industry leaders, government officials, and community partners committed to strengthening a workforce that meets the needs of Georgia’s rapidly growing economy.

The Summit is part of Governor Brian Kemp’s Top State for Talent initiative, a cross-agency effort to transform how Georgians prepare for and access meaningful careers. By aligning education, training, and economic priorities, the initiative builds a talent pipeline that works—for students, families, jobseekers, and businesses alike.

“Georgia has earned its reputation as the #1 State for Business for 11 years in a row—but to stay on top, we must also be the best state at preparing people for success,” said Governor Brian Kemp. “This Summit highlights our shared commitment to ensuring hard working Georgians have access to clear, connected, and high-value pathways to opportunity.”

The Governor’s Workforce Summit will highlight innovative workforce development initiatives from across Georgia, offering attendees a firsthand look at programs and strategies driving success statewide. The event will feature keynotes and panel discussions with leaders from education, government, and business, providing insights into the policies and practices shaping Georgia’s future. Participants will also hear success stories of partnerships that continue to fuel Georgia’s position as the #1 State for Business, while taking advantage of networking opportunities designed to strengthen connections across sectors and foster new collaborations.

The Top State for Talent initiative, launched by Governor Kemp and supported by the General Assembly, is focused on breaking down silos between education and workforce systems. From high schools and technical colleges to universities and critical credential training programs, every part of the pipeline is working together to prepare Georgians not just for diplomas—but for real opportunity.
